Evolve UK - Face Recognition Access Control is a cutting-edge technology offering enhanced security and ease of access for various settings. One key aspect of setting up this system is connecting to Wi-Fi, which is essential for real-time communication and device management.
Connecting WIFI
Begin by utilizing the touch screen panel located on the Evolve Face 5T. Go to the COMM tab to check that the comms display shows Device 1 and Local Mode, ensuring that your device is ready for configuration.
Next, navigate to the Ethernet Tab and verify that ETHERNET TCIP is turned OFF, which is a necessary step before connecting the device to Wi-Fi.
To enable Wi-Fi, set ENABLE to YES, then SEARCH for the relevant Wi-Fi name and enter the Wi-Fi password. Ensure that DCHP is set to YES, which will allow the system to auto-select an IP address, typically shown as 192.168.000.000.
Using the Evolve AAS (Access Control Software), you will need to set up the devices for management. Input the IP Address displayed on the Evolve Face 5T device. If prompted, add the new device as 192.168.0.0 or the Auto IP Number. Take care not to enter 192.168.000.000; if the last three points show only one number, input that number accordingly, for example, 192.168.0.16 or 192.168.1.198.
Once set, click on device management and check online. This should automatically scan the IP, and upon a successful connection, it will confirm that Device connect is OK.
If you have assigned a dedicated Wi-Fi IP address, switch DCHP OFF and enter your own IP from the network settings.
Furthermore, to verify your IP connectivity, you can utilize Microsoft Command Prompt. This tool is highly efficient in troubleshooting connection issues and ensuring that your device is communicating effectively within your network.
