How wide is a Speed Gate?

Evolve Speed Gates are available in a range of lane widths to suit different applications. Standard pedestrian lanes are typically 600mm, while DDA compliant lanes are available in 900mm or wider for wheelchair users, deliveries and accessible access. Bespoke lane widths can also be manufactured for specific project requirements.

Can Evolve Speed Gates integrate with Paxton?

Yes. All Evolve Speed Gates are designed with open protocol communication, allowing seamless integration with Paxton access control systems, including card readers, keypads and authentication devices.

Can Evolve Speed Gates integrate with SALTO?

Absolutely. Evolve Speed Gates integrate with SALTO access control solutions, including RFID cards, mobile credentials and other authentication methods.

What happens during a power failure?

Evolve Speed Gates can be configured as fail-safe or fail-secure depending on the project requirements and local fire regulations. Most installations automatically open during an emergency to allow safe evacuation.

Can Speed Gates be installed outdoors?

Yes. Evolve offers IP-rated outdoor speed gates manufactured with weather-resistant materials and finishes for external environments such as business parks, transport hubs and secure perimeter entrances.

What is the typical lead time?

Our standard manufacturing lead time is approximately 35 working days from drawing approval. Delivery times vary depending on the destination and shipping method.

Can Speed Gates integrate with other access control systems?

Yes. Evolve Speed Gates integrate with most leading access control manufacturers including RFID card readers, facial recognition, fingerprint readers, QR code scanners, visitor management systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) and Time & Attendance software.

Are Evolve Speed Gates DDA compliant?

Yes. We offer DDA-compliant speed gate solutions with wider access lanes suitable for wheelchair users, pushchairs and users with reduced mobility.

What maintenance do Speed Gates require?

Routine preventative maintenance includes cleaning sensors, inspecting glass panels, checking fixings, testing safety devices and inspecting electrical connections. High-traffic environments should be serviced every six months.

Do you provide installation?

Evolve Security Products is a manufacturer and supplier of pedestrian entrance control systems. We work with approved distributors and trained installers throughout the UK and internationally while providing technical support, installation guidance and product training.

What warranty is included?

All Evolve Speed Gates are supplied with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty as standard, with extended warranty options available.
